Usually I like to play something braindead while I listen, give my hands and eyes something to do while I focus on the music. Never before have I been hit so hard I had to pause and just... sit there. Revelling in it. Despite it being what some would call just "noise", the artistry behind it is clear, and there's a raw emotion to it that I think more traditional techniques would struggle to convey. One of my favourites hands-down.

This is arguably one of Julien's best releases, for me it's almost like the turning point for him. Sure, his prior LPs and EPs packed quite a punch but this release is remarkable in terms of production and overall feel. This short little EP captures plenty of emotion and presents the idea of Ruby My Dear perfectly -- this EP showcases the varying styles and techniques seen from Julien's breakcore project, it's a stellar release.
